Schrodinger's Cat
A downloadable game
About the Game: Schrödinger's Cat is a retro arcade guessing game built around the quantum computing concept of superposition.
A cat is sealed inside a box, simultaneously alive and dead, until you observe it. Before opening the box, you must guess its state: ALIVE or DEAD. The twist is that the outcome is determined at the exact moment of observation, not before, faithfully mirroring how wave function collapse works in real quantum mechanics.
As you progress through levels, new quantum mechanics are introduced: a clue system where Geiger counter ticks, box glow, and atom spin speed reveal probability biases (representing wave function amplitudes); quantum gate power-ups including the Hadamard gate, Pauli-X gate, and Measurement Probe that mirror real qubit operations; entangled cat rounds based on Bell pairs where observing one box determines the other; and a decoherence timer that forces observation under pressure.
Scoring rewards streaks and risk-taking through a stake mechanic.
AI Use: Claude (Anthropic) was used extensively throughout development. I used it to brainstorm the quantum concept mapping, design the full game mechanics, and generate detailed prompts that were fed into Claude Code to build the complete HTML/JS/CSS codebase.
Claude also helped plan the game trailer structure and write AI video generation prompts.
AI video models were used to generate cinematic shots for the trailer (the sealed box materializing, cat superposition visualization, wave function collapse sequence).
