Quantum Reactor Slice

Quantum Reactor Slice is an arcade reflex game made for the Year of Quantum Arcade Game Jam. The player must stabilize a quantum reactor by slicing stable particles while avoiding unstable cores that can trigger field collapse.

The game connects to the quantum theme through uncertainty, particle movement, wave-like motion, energy, and entanglement. Particles appear from random positions and move in curved paths, representing quantum uncertainty. The player slices stable particles to gain points, build Quantum Combos, and charge the reactor. 

Purple entangled particles create linked reactions, showing the idea of quantum entanglement. 

Red unstable cores are dangerous hazards. If the player slices one, the reactor field collapses, the combo resets, and the player loses stability. 

When the reactor charge is full, the game enters Overload Mode for a short time, giving bonus points and making the game more intense. 

The goal is to survive until the timer reaches zero, keep the reactor stable, and earn the highest score possible.

CONTROLS:

     Move the mouse quickly across particles to slice them.

      Avoid red unstable cores. 

     Build combos to increase your score. 

     Fill the reactor charge to activate Overload Mode. 

AI USE:

I used AI to help create and improve the visual artwork style for the game, the glowing effects, and overall arcade-style.
